Bam Bam |
| Hi Everyone? Remember me? I'm Bam Bam and I came in with my mother, Wilma, and my siblings when we were just little guys. As you can see, I've grown into a beautiful young man with the silkiest long hair and big orange eyes. I'm a love and will make someone a purrfect forever friend. I just wanted to let you all know that as Thanksgiving approaches, those of us who live at Kitty Keepers are very thankful that there were no incidents at Kitty keepers over Halloween. I'm considered the perfect Halloween cat and there are really horrible people out there who do unspeakable things to innocent animals. At Kitty Keepers, they take extra precautions around Halloween; they never adopt out a black or orange cat the month of October, they have someone actually spend the night with us on Halloween and have the workers come later in the evening during October. We a know we are loved and we are well cared for; with the wold wind howling at the door, we are toasty warm and our tummies are always full. We will get a special Thanksgiving dinner, with turkey and even pumpkin pie -- which by the way, we love and it's very good for us (keeps our liver functioning). | |||

Tucker-Adopted |
| Hello! My name is Tucker and I am about five weeks old. I wish I could tell you something about myself, but it's so hard to let my human friends know what I am trying to say. Tee hee! All I can tell you for sure is that one day about two weeks ago a couple walked through the door and threw me into these nice human's arms and said, "We don’t have cats; we don't want cats and we don't know where it came from." So it came that I will belong with the Kitty Keepers cats. Right now this really nice lady took me home until my 30 day "quarantine" time is up. That way I can come in and just join the other guys and not have to live alone for 30 days in a cage. They decided I was just too little to do that. I hope I get a forever home pretty soon, but until then I know it'll be pretty nice at Kitty Keepers. They already are very considerate of how little I am and what I need in order to be a part of the rest of the gang. | |||

Frosty-Adopted |
| Frosty was abandoned
in downtown Havre 17 years ago. He was rescued and has been at “Kitty
Keepers” long before Kitty Keepers was even a dream. He’s
one of the “old timers”. Frosty has a real “marking”
issue, therefore making him pretty unadoptable. He is one of the nicest
and friendliest cats you’ll ever want to meet and would love nothing
more than to have his very own home, but the reality is, he’s not
very well suited for a home situation. Undoubtedly that is why he was
abandoned in the first place. His very best friend is Gilligan and they
would need to be adopted together if they did get a home. Both these great guys are able to have a home where they can live out the remaining years of their life because of the generosity of our valued supporters. Frosty and his friends Tut and Gilligan thank you for making sure that they will have a home as long as they need one. Stop out and visit anytime and I promise to give you a big hug and a huge purr. I just love people. Frosty |

Frosty-now Adopted |

Hi! My name is Frosty, and I was featured once before, but things have changed for me. I'm a fine stately fellow and I absolutely love to greet everyone when they come to visit. This picture is of me recovering from surgery and my best buddy, Gilligan, is right there taking care of me. I worry about what will happen to Gilligan when something happens to me. After my surgery to remove the growth on my carotid artery, the reports came back that I have cancer. I'm between 18 and 20 years old and have had a really good life. I love living at Kitty Keepers and really love all my friends here, 2 legged as well as 4 legged. I've had a really good life and I know I will be loved and taken care until I am in pain or a tumor takes over a vital part of my body. Most animal rescue places would have had to put me down a long time ago, but because Kitty Keepers and all of the wonderful support, I have been allowed the dignity of an old age and when the time come a dignified death. Next month the featured cat will be a darling little mother and her three babies — everyone loves the stories of the cute kitties, but I just wanted to thank you and let you know you make a big difference in the lives of all the kitties lucky enough to make it to Kitty Keepers. |

Angel-Adopted |
| Angel is a beautiful little lady and definitely a favorite among young and old. She is between 11 and 15 year old, spay, tested and current on her vaccinations. She was found wandering the street and was in really terrible shape. It looked like her skin and ears had been burned and they are still deformed. It turned out that she has a reaction when she is in the sun which severely burns her skin, so we have to be very careful about her getting direct sunlight. She is gentle and so very lovable. She has been adopted twice and seems to just prefer it at Kitty Keepers. She is now classified as "unadoptable." Your generous contribution makes it possible for Angel to have a home where she is safe, warm and loved for the remainder of her life. She is truly happy and content with us. | |||

Cartman-Adopted |
Cartman is an older fellow, he's in the Golden Years of his life. He came to us in very poor condition and we weren't sure that he was going to make it. Being a beautiful orange fellow, he is also considered a "Halloween" cat and would be a prime target out on the streets. Cartman actually is being considered for a forever home. Knowing "forever" won't be very long, the young lady is still very interested in giving him something to be truly grateful for over Thanksgiving break. We have so much to be thankful for and our dear friends are supporters are at the top of the list. |

Cartman-Adopted |
Hi Everyone! Remember me? I’m Cartman and I was featured last month as well. I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and to let you know that I was finally adopted. What better Christmas story from Kitty Keepers than an old kitty with no hope, getting a forever home for Christmas. I have been at Kitty Keepers for five years and was in terrible condition when I arrived. My friends worked hard to make sure I gained some weight and got healthier. Sadly I never really trusted most of them. Too many bad things had already happened to me at the hands of humans and it was too much to overcome. My fur never got really pretty and shiny again and my weight was always too low. But they still loved me and took care of me. Then, my guardian angel, who used to work here, came back to get me. I was so terrified of having to go in a carrier again, they thought I might faint, but I didn’t and in less than a week, I was settled in, gaining weight and my coat is starting to shine — as you can see. I love it here and love it when my angel pets me and cuddles me. She gives me lots of space though and doesn’t make me do more than I am ready to do. |

Meet
Buster-Adopted |
| You know how some
kitties just are extra special, they have a certain charisma. At Kitty
Keepers we believe that all kitties are special and deserve love, safety
and a dignified life, but there sometimes comes along a particularly special
kitty. Buster is one such cat. He can win over the heart of anyone, even
the hard hearted. He appeared one night in the middle of a wind, rain
and lightening storm. When one of our volunteers ventured a meek “kitty,
kitty” fearing he would bolt in the storm, he said, “meow”
and all but leaped into her arms. He had a flea collar embedded in his
neck and arm, but otherwise was in good shape, appeared well cared for
and was already neutered. We tried to find his owner and hoped for a happy
ending, but he served his quarantine time and was brought into Kitty Keepers.
You would have thought he’d lived here all his life. We are very
grateful that we were able to take in this wonderful addition to our family.
We are sure he won’t be with us long. Thank you for helping to make
this possible. Kitty Keepers - Staff, Administration, Volunteers and Residents |

Meet
Buster and Sue-Adopted |
Such good news for Buster. Our friend, Sue, from Great Falls brought some friends down to visit and see the sanctuary. As you already know, Buster has purrsonality plus and loves everyone, but you can’t believe how he acted when Sue arrived. She hadn’t even come into the building yet, when he was in a pen talking a mile a minute to her. It was almost like she was his lost owner and he was trying to get her attention. But apparently he had decided that she was his next owner and he did get her attention. He followed her around and tried to be held by her throughout her entire visit; he loved to wrap his paws around her neck. Although Sue had no intention of going home with another cat, Buster had other plans. They did go home together and Sue reports back that he is right at home, he is doing well and her other two cats are going to allow him to stay. What a wonderful ending for such a wonderful cat — and for Sue as well. |

Kylee-Adopted |

| Kylee is a beautiful little lady. She is about three years old, spayed, tested and current on her vaccinations. Two years ago someone opened the door to Kitty Keepers and just threw her in the door. She is gentle and so very lovable. She would make a wonderful new family member for some very lucky family. Your generous contribution makes it possible for Kylee to have a home where she is safe, warm and loved until such time as she can find her very own forever home. | |||

Tang Tang-Adopted |
My name is Tang Tang and I’m getting to be a pretty old girl. As far as my new family at the orphanage can figure out, I’m about 16. I was rescued by my first mama when I was just a kitten. Someone had just thrown me out of a car and I fell in a ditch. I still carry my head at an angle from the injuries I got that day. My new mama was a very nice lady who found me and nursed me back to health and gave me a home where I knew love, shelter, warmth and had plenty to eat. I lived in my home for about 10 years. Then that nice lady got too sick to care for me any more. We were so neglected, one of my roommates even died because we didn’t have enough to eat. It was really tough for a while. Then we all got to come and live at Kitty Keepers. Boy that was a different kind of life for us, none of us had ever been in an orphanage before. There sure are a lot of other cats where we live. But our new caregivers love us so much and we know that even from the first day. Although we are scared, we know from the soft voices and loving pets that everything will be alright. I can be adopted, but I know that not many people will be interested in adopting someone as old as I am. The first place all the visitors go is to visit the kitten room. But that’s ok, I know that I am loved a lot and they will take care of me for the rest of my life. I just wanted to personally say thank you to you for helping to support me and to keep the orphanage open for me and all the other unwanted kitties in our community. No matter how much they love us, they couldn’t take care of us without the help provided by you and the other generous donors who love us from afar. Thank you, Tang Tang |

Sneaks-Adopted |
I came from a very abusive situation. My two littermates and my mom did not survive. It made me very sad and I was very scared. But three very special kids found me and rescued me. They knew where I was from and didn’t want me to go back there. They took care of me in the shed since I was really little, but their parents said, “no more cats”. Then there was an opening at the orphanage. So now I live at Kitty Keepers and would sure like a forever home for Christmas, but it’s nice here too. I get lots of food, it’s always warm and no one is ever mean to me. It was kind of lonely while I had to live in a cage and just watch the other guys have fun, but I guess the rule is that you can’t play with the rest of the gang until the nice people know I’m not sick. But I can come out and play now and it’s really cool to have so many new friends to play with. I just wanted to let you know that your kindness and generosity makes it possible for pretty girls like me to get a chance at a home and to not die a cold lonely death on the streets. It’s kind of like one big group effort, the nice people who rescue us, the nice people who take care of us at Kitty Keepers and the awesome people who help to support us. So I hope you know how much we appreciate you and that you have a really Merry Christmas knowing that one little girl was saved by your kindness. Sneaks Just to let everyone know, Sneaks got her Christmas wish and got her very own, forever home for Christmas. She is one of our success stories. |

Mocha-Adopted |
Little Mocha is a sweet and loving kitten with the most affectionate purrsonality. She was rescued along with her mother. father and another cat from an abusive situation. Two other family cats were not so fortunate. One of the rescued cats needed emergency surgery and would not have survived another few days. Daddy Jake and little Mocha have since been adopted into loving homes where they will remain safe and loved. Ragdoll and Callie are still hoping for a forever home of their own.
Thank you,ö
